Saturday, March 16, 2013 I was honored to be in the presence of SuDonna Moss Logan, she was the Keynote Speaker at the Journey Mosaic, Inc. conference “Women Inspiring Women To Do The Amazing.” Sudonna started her presentation off with the phrase Friends with benefits, now after hearing that of course my mind went in another direction because in my era Friends with Benefits was between a man and a woman, so I thought ok she is going to speak in regards to relationships, so I immediately perked up because we all know we need others input and outlook on the relationships in our lives. But in turn of events her Friends with Benefits were between women and women, she was speaking of your friendships that you have among women, which had me even more interested considering that I have very few and I needed to know why I don’t have more. SuDonna tied her presentation in with Proverbs 27:17 which states As iron sharpens iron,so one person sharpens another and immediately I was intrigued. She went on to talk about several intriguing topics, watch the company you keep, your countenance (demeanor), trust, being fortified for one another, reflections, pulling others up, being beneficial and being open with one another. SuDonna told a story about the techniques of a friendship just like you have a certain technique to sharpen a knife you have that same technique of making sure your friendships are sharpened as well. What I learned about myself while SuDonna was speaking is that I have a hard time trusting women but as I grow everyday and my numbers are strengthen and I learn about myself that I don’t always have to be the strong one, I bond more and more with different women everyday, my weakness are someone else strength and my strength is someone else weakness. After SuDonna presentation I realized that two heads are always better than one and that as long as my heart stays anointed I will always speak anoint to others.
As I finish this post I want all of the women out there to Not let that inner little girl be afraid stand up and stand out…You will always rise up to any occasion….I would like to Thank SuDonna Moss Logan for my morning inspiration.
