Today, I met a woman with a plethora of knowledge, life lessons, and experience. Her name is Sherry Sheppard and she is a paralegal going back to school to get her law degree. She looked to be in her late forties, early fifties. As she sat and talk to us, my graphic designer and I about her book she ask us about our assets. Now, right off the top, money comes to mind because it came to my mind and then she went on to talk about her past experience as her assets. Sherry told us this story about an opportunity that was presented to her while she was trying to figure out her next move, since she had just left her teaching job of 40,000.00 a year job and she had to stay at home with her son because she was going to home school him. The opportunity that was presented to her was a party clown and thought about it and she heard a voice say,”The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned (1 Corinthians 2:14).” and she didn’t pay attention to the party clown opportunity until it came around a second time. Since it came around a second time she figured it was a sign from God and she followed through on that opportunity and in her first month she made 4,000.00 dollars a month and then after six months as a party clown she ended up making 8,000.00 a month well over her 40,000.00 dollar teaching job. From then on she has realized that what ever doesn’t work out in her present she will always have assets she can tap into. So, I ask you what are your assets and if things are going astray in your life have you pulled from your assets to re-set your life.
