Reorganize Your Evening Schedule

To figure out what’s interfering with your sleep and therefore your waking up, take a look at your day and how you spend your evenings. You might have to reorganize some of your activities. One activity that is not helping me get to bed on time is eating after 8pm. I have noticed if I eat after 8pm even if it is just protein and vegetables my body will not wind down until 1 or 2am in the morning and that is not good for my body considering I am back up by 6am in the morning. I am working on making my dinners earlier and eating my last meal by 6pm and if I am ready for a snack by 8 or 9pm to drink some soothing tea preferable Camille l or Peppermint tea. According to a National Sleep Foundation Survey, about one in four adults believe their work schedule makes it impossible to get enough sleep. If you’re overburdened on the job and constantly work late into the evening, try to find ways to share the load with a partner or colleague.
