Changing My Habits

Morning Inspiration……I thought I would share all of my bad habits before I decided to really take a stand and saddle up for my Healthy Lifestyle Change. Even though I would work out and I had changed my eating habits I still had a lot of work to do. I didn’t really notice a change until I started my 21-Day Detox that I really saw how nutrition could transform your body…..I know it’s true when they say nutrition is 80% of your Healthy Lifestyle while working out is only 20%. If you are guilty of these bad habits it may be time for you to start your 21-Day Detox!!!!

  1. Sleep-Induced Hunger

  2. Eating on the Job

  3. Emotional Snacking

  4. Meals on the Go

  5. Vacation Eating

  6. Dining-Out Diet Disasters

  7. Weekend Indulgences

Potassium

potassiumPotassium is a mineral that’s crucial for life. Potassium is necessary for the heart, kidneys, and other organs to work normally. Here are some foods that have natural sources of potassium in them without taking it in a pill form: Bananas, Avocados, Nuts, like almonds and peanuts, citrus fruits, leafy, green vegetables, milk and potatoes.

One of my Favorite Moves

dumbbell pushupDumbbell Blast-Off Pushup Hold

Get into a pushup position, your hands resting on dumbbells and feet slightly more than hip-width apart. Push your hips back until they’re near your ankles, keeping your body low and back flat. Quickly push through your toes back to the starting position. That’s one rep.

Quick Tip: If your form starts to falter, hold the top of the pushup position

Don’t Ever 4get It!!!!

twenty-20-dollar-billMorning Inspiration….                          A well-known speaker started off his seminar holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?” Hands started going up. He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.”

He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, “Who still wants it…?” Still the hands were up in the air. “Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. “Now, who still wants it?” Still the hands went into the air.

“My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We may feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.

Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who DO LOVE you. The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO WE ARE.

You are special-Don’t EVER forget it.” If you do not pass this on, you may never know the lives it touches, the hurting hearts it speaks to, or the hope that it may bring. Count your blessings, not your problems.
