Before Careful Everything is not Always Glimmer and Gold

pathMorning Inspiration…. Yesterday after going on Facebook and wishing my fav a Happy Birthday, I decided to read one of his blog post and it was so in tuned with what goes on in our daily lives I had to share… Because something sounds real good and might be all shiny on the outside doesn’t mean that is good and will shine shine for you all the time. Be careful with the paths you choose everything is not always Glimmer and Gold

The Journey Page 1

As he walked down the dark street he came across a man. The wandering had made him friendly so he greeted him and stuck out a hand.

“What’s your profession?” The man asked.
“I do many things, but I pour my soul into my poetry.”
“You are a poem.”
“I am a Poet.”
“Oh, because you write poetry?”
“Precisely.”
“I see what you mean, but you can’t just say a thing like that and expect people to believe you without a shred of evidence. A poet would certainly give us some poetry?”
“Yes, I believe so, but what if I told you everything isn’t what it seems?”
“I would be forced to say I know.”

  Why You Can’t See God

If you could see God it would make doing good too easy,

believe me.

If you could see God physically,

as he displays his omnipotence

you wouldn’t dare do evil.

Of course these theories

that scientists come up with sound good,

but they should.

Devotion is real

only when unfaithfulness is possible.

Every religion has a view,

but the Ten Commandments

will always hold true.

Whatever you pray for

God will deliver.

Try to stay warm in this cold world

that will make you shiver.

“That was grand. The definition of poetry.”
“Thank you, your kind words bring pleasure to the universe.”
“Have you heard of the Poets Gauntlet?”
“I have not.”
“Are you a Poet?”
“Yes.”
“One of the best?”
“That’s for you to decide.”
“I have decided! And the Poets Gauntlet is a competition to see who is the best poet in the world. Allow me to represent you.”
“Why should I?”
“You need a reference. And the prize is 30 million euros. But you’ll risk a lot.”
“Like what?”
The man began to tap his feet.”There will be time for that. You’re walking this way and so am I. We can discuss details on the journey.”
“Fair enough. I planned on stopping for breakfast at the next establishment I stumbled upon.”
“We must stop at my home first before our journey. It’s on the way, I can cook you a breakfast fit for a king, no strings attached.”
“I’m not sure what journey you have in mind,  but omlettes are always better with three eggs.”
“This may be true, we can talk about that too.”
“You invite me over for breakfast at this odd hour, I commend you on the kind gesture, but I must know your name before we begin our journey.”
“I have a lot of names Daniel, but you can call me Satan.”
