If We Know Soda Is Bad For Us, Why Do We Still Drink It?

A new Purdue University study has found that diet sodas may not help you lose pounds or be a healthier option at all. In fact, diet sodas may be linked to a number of health problems from obesity to diabetes to heart disease, just like their more sugary counterparts.

Happy 4th of July

happy 4th of JulyOn July 4, 1776, we claimed our independence from Britain and Democracy was born. Every day thousands leave their homeland to come to the “land of the free and the home of the brave” so they can begin their American Dream.

The United States is truly a diverse nation made up of dynamic people. Each year on July 4, Americans celebrate that freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and family gatherings. Through the Internet we are learning about and communicating with people of different nations, with different languages and different races throughout the world. Bringing the world closer with understanding and knowledge can only benefit all nations.

Star Spangled Banner

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn’s early light,
What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro’ the perilous fight,
O’er the ramparts we watch’d, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro’ the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore dimly seen thro’ the mists of the deep,
Where the foe’s haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o’er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam,
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:
‘Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle’s confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash’d out their foul footsteps’ pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

O, thus be it ever when freemen shall stand,
Between their lov’d homes and the war’s desolation;
Blest with vict’ry and peace, may the heav’n-rescued land
Praise the Pow’r that hath made and preserv’d us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

The Heart

Morning Inspiration….I have been following iamrennyren on Instagram and he has heartinspired me to critically think about some things that affects me and problem a lot of other people in ways I never thought of. Well, this morning inspiration came from his post and I wanted to share with all of you.

This is a heart, do you now what it is used for? It’s for pumping blood throughout our body and telling you when something is wrong within your blood vessels. Many of us try to use it for feelings and emotions, may it be good or bad. Our heart beat is not affected one bit after something has happened to us (being surprised death, a breakup, or a divorce) it may change a beat for a second but the emotional attachment we place with it is not physical pain. We have to learn to separate the two in order to remain healthy and to allow the Holy Spirit to talk to us so we can get over any and all emotional let downs. You only get one physical temple so take care of it.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Why are you having problems exercising?
