The Lord

his planMorning Inspiration… “The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ would take the slums out of people, and then they would take themselves out of the slums.
The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature.”

I’m Looking at the Man in the Mirror

changeMorning Inspiration…wanted to share a post I came across from uglybeyoutifulme on Facebook. After reading this post I knew I had to share and I knew that it was time to start working on Me…My own Man in the Mirror!!!

Change Challenge: Lately I have been re-evaulating some things in my life and I have a desire to do things differently. One of the biggest things was to develop a more closer intimate relationship with the Christ. I wanted to know him more intimately. So one of my really good friends Malina Bolds) had a really good discussion about this very topic. One of the key things she mentioned was I diligently need to place God at the forefront of every decision, concern, worry, blessing, misunderstanding etc ( which I thought was doing) however, I did not completely trusting God with the outcome. So for the past month I put myself on a surrender challenge to completely surrender all things to him (it’s been hard ya’ll and I have fallen)- still a work in progress. However I truly have a desire to change for the better to be an example for Christ operating in love, being forgiving, and just allow God lead and NOT ME! (talk about difficult!!) this is call submission (not an easy tasks). So my pray was to God show me all the things I need to work on in order for me to change (so that’s when Micheal Jackson song ” Man in the Mirror” took effect. God has been revealing things I need to change within me. As 2 Corinthians 5:17; if anyone is he Christ he is a new creature; old things past way and all things become new. Change is truly hard; it is even uncomfortable like really awkward; cause when you are so “use” to doing something to have to change talk about awkward. But I have a desire to really be a new creature. Since thing I have seen the manifestation of these changes, which how I talk, my actions, my behavior, how I treat other people, my love for myself and others, peace and my conviction to get it right and not allow old things to linger. It’s crazy how God truly does change you. I really understand (2 corinthians 5:17) even more. However, there are still some things I need to tackle. So I came up with a change challenge for myself. God has already provided me with the mirror of things I need to change, so I will be working on them until they are completely past away. Would you like to join me. I will be having what are called mirror moments on my uglybeyoutifulme page to discussion some of the things I still need to work on . I would love it if you would join me. Let’s all change together.

Expirations

times upMorning Inspiration….It’s important not to let things expire on our shelves so why do we allow people to stick around and suck up so much energy in our life when they have expired as well. Spring cleaning is in order lets not let the dust collect on those shelves or in our lives.

In the words of iamrennyren….Sometimes we keep things around longer than we should. We ignore the expiration dates on food, credit cards, meds, people etc. We have to learn to read the dates on these things so we can live a healthy life. You don’t want to take old meds because of the side effects. You don’t want to keep people around that aren’t bringing you peace or joy. Start right now throwing these things out of your house and life that the dates has expired. God wants us to become new with him when our old life has expired. When its time is up, its up and don’t second guess it!!!

The old life is gone; a new life has begun…2 Corinthians 5:17

What if

FMorning Inspiration…imagine that if God gave us a report card on how we treated each other, our cheating on one another or how we lie, cheat and steal just to get ahead in life. I know we are not perfect, I know I am not and sometimes being honest is scary but always the best policy. When something is not working and you just do not know how to get out of a particular situation…make sure you are honest about everything that you do and even though it might hurt the other persons feelings. They can only respect you for being honest. God always says honesty is the best policy.

In the words of iamrennyren…..Imagine if God looked at a report card every time we asked something of him. if we asked for a new house and he told us no because you didn’t get an A in sharing. What if you asked for a family and he said no to you, you don’t deserve one because you didn’t get an A in commitment. We need to start being more like God and stop judging people by our own mental report cards and giving them the same grace, God is showing/giving us. If God knows none of us are perfect, do we expect everyone else to be? Do not judge others and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will call come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.-Luke 6:37

Discipline

disciplineMorning Inspiration…I am working on discipline…it is easy to control somethings while hard to get started on others. I am challenging all of you to do something that has been so hard to accomplished for the next 21 days, so we can work on our disciplines

In the words of Iamrennyren…

Discipline is a form of controlling your thoughts. Sometimes you find yourself in situations and wonder how you’ve gotten yourself into a particular situation. If only you wold have taken a moment/few seconds to think about it all before the fact, things would have turned out different. God gives us things that we should and shouldn’t do, some are easy to follow and some are hard. Just as a parent tells a kid not to do something, God tells us for a great reason, we won’t understand until later. He tells us no lies and only has our best interest.

Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.-Proverbs 1:7

Choosing your Path

Morning Inspiration….I have been on a journey that has been increasing my knowledge and growth day by day and although I have been in a piece of the industry I have embarked for over 15 yrs I still have so much more to learn. I pray daily for GOD to direct my paths and whatever I am supposed to do for the day that GOD places his hands on my shoulders and guide me to complete it and to place the person in my path that will allow my goal, project and task to deem successful.

plan a or bIn the words of iamrennyren…..What’s your plan? What’s your backup plan? Are you going right or left? I don’t have a plan B. I know my plan A is the right one, I’ll never fail or loose as long as GOD is directing my path. We must stop doing things and getting mad when things don’t workout and say thank you Jesus for whatever you are protecting me from because I know you have a something  better in my plan, this goes for your career, living environment, relationships, church home and so on. GOD makes no mistakes…we do!!!

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths…Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV

Fresh Start

Morning Inspirations…… Getting up every morning is a blessing and it lets me know that God has not given up on me and I should not drag my feet and give up on the path that he has designed for me. Wake up and always HIT the FLOOR RUNNING!!!!

fresh startIn the words of iamrennyren…..Do you realize that each morning you wake up you get a fresh new start!!! You get a chance to advance further in life, a chance to fix your mistakes, tell someone you love then and make history another day. A lot of us don’t take advantage of this, and we just let the day pass us by doing nothing. If you have dreams, you have to get up and make it happen, show God that your taking the first steps into the life you want him to provide for you. You gotta go get it if you want it.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature old things are passed away; behold all things are become new….2Corinthians 5:17
