Morning Inspiration…God, help us to spend our lives well today. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16:11
As I reflect on my day I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas…Every Christmas I am blessed to have a family that takes time out of their busy schedules that get together to exchange gifts and eat breakfast with one another. This year the hostess with the mostess was my very own Bigmama. Today we read Luke 2:1-21
In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”
15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
21 On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.
And then we were reminded of all the gifts that Jesus Christ gave to us Peace, Joy, Love and Hope.
Are you living to get or living to give? God wants us to have a servant attitude. Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work (John 4:34) Are you always looking for ways to live a servant life…helping a friend, doing community service, taking care of a relative. It’s not something you force yourself to do, it becomes apart of who you are. You were created to make someone elses’ life be better…someone needs your love, smile, encouragement, and gifts, when you serve others you will feel a satisfaction that money can not buy…you will feel joy, peace and fulfillment that only Jesus can provide…when you do the will of your father it doesn’t exhaust you it replenishes you.
Morning Inspiration…imagine that if God gave us a report card on how we treated each other, our cheating on one another or how we lie, cheat and steal just to get ahead in life. I know we are not perfect, I know I am not and sometimes being honest is scary but always the best policy. When something is not working and you just do not know how to get out of a particular situation…make sure you are honest about everything that you do and even though it might hurt the other persons feelings. They can only respect you for being honest. God always says honesty is the best policy.
In the words of iamrennyren…..Imagine if God looked at a report card every time we asked something of him. if we asked for a new house and he told us no because you didn’t get an A in sharing. What if you asked for a family and he said no to you, you don’t deserve one because you didn’t get an A in commitment. We need to start being more like God and stop judging people by our own mental report cards and giving them the same grace, God is showing/giving us. If God knows none of us are perfect, do we expect everyone else to be? Do not judge others and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will call come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.-Luke 6:37
From the words of Iamrennyren…Imagine you having that one person you can count on in every situation, never judging you for your past mistakes or short comings. Never talking down on you or telling you what you should or should not do. That one person that loves you no matter what. The one person you can call on anytime of the day and they answer!!! YOU DO!!! He is your Father, your Friend, your Comforter, your Therapist. He is my/your Lord and Savior and I thank him for never turning his back on me/us.
Know that he is all I/we need then..Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong and may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is-Ephesians 3:17-18
Morning Inspiration…I am working on discipline…it is easy to control somethings while hard to get started on others. I am challenging all of you to do something that has been so hard to accomplished for the next 21 days, so we can work on our disciplines
In the words of Iamrennyren…
Discipline is a form of controlling your thoughts. Sometimes you find yourself in situations and wonder how you’ve gotten yourself into a particular situation. If only you wold have taken a moment/few seconds to think about it all before the fact, things would have turned out different. God gives us things that we should and shouldn’t do, some are easy to follow and some are hard. Just as a parent tells a kid not to do something, God tells us for a great reason, we won’t understand until later. He tells us no lies and only has our best interest.
Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.-Proverbs 1:7
Morning Inspiration….I have been on a journey that has been increasing my knowledge and growth day by day and although I have been in a piece of the industry I have embarked for over 15 yrs I still have so much more to learn. I pray daily for GOD to direct my paths and whatever I am supposed to do for the day that GOD places his hands on my shoulders and guide me to complete it and to place the person in my path that will allow my goal, project and task to deem successful.
In the words of iamrennyren…..What’s your plan? What’s your backup plan? Are you going right or left? I don’t have a plan B. I know my plan A is the right one, I’ll never fail or loose as long as GOD is directing my path. We must stop doing things and getting mad when things don’t workout and say thank you Jesus for whatever you are protecting me from because I know you have a something better in my plan, this goes for your career, living environment, relationships, church home and so on. GOD makes no mistakes…we do!!!
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths…Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV
