Patience

Patience-2Morning Inspiration…

In the words of Bishop Dennis Leonard: If you think back on your past, you will see that the majority of messes you got into were because of impatience. the enemy wants you to think that God has forgotten you. He’s a liar. We need to sit back and wait for God to do His thing. Be still and know that He is God. He is working it out.

Having Patience and planting seeds are two different things. Planting seeds and watching God water them is making those connections that God has sent you to make with those people whom he has touch to do the work that he has told you to do. Being impatient is forcing those connections that are not right with the people who are not for you. If you are in a situation and it doesn’t run smoothly then that is not the situation for you. Sit back and and pray your way through until God shows up and shows out. Sometimes there could be a test and your patience can show God that you are ready for that next level.

Romans 8:24-25 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

The Lord

his planMorning Inspiration… “The Lord works from the inside out. The world works from the outside in. The world would take people out of the slums. Christ would take the slums out of people, and then they would take themselves out of the slums.
The world would mold men by changing their environment. Christ changes men, who then change their environment. The world would shape human behavior, but Christ can change human nature.”
Ezra Taft Benson

Merry Christmas

As I reflect on my day I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas…Every Christmas I am blessed to have a family that takes time out of their busy schedules that get together to exchange gifts and eat breakfast with one another. This year the hostess with the mostess was my very own Bigmama. Today we read Luke 2:1-21

Jesus-Christ-Birth-163-640x480The Birth of Jesus Christ

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register.

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

21 On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.

And then we were reminded of all the gifts that Jesus Christ gave to us Peace, Joy, Love and Hope.

Your best Teacher….

Your-best-teacherMorning inspiration….Making mistakes is all apart of life but your life lessons will show us how we deal with our mistakes. One thing that rings a bell for me is…if you do it to me once then I cool on you but if you get a chance to do it to me twice then shame on me and that mistake is on me but if you do it to me a third time…then what the hell am I doing that I am just letting this mistake happen over and over again??? Get it together and never make the same mistake twice and if you need it to hit you twice to get your lesson then don’t let it roll around a third time!!!

In the words of iamrennyren…We all make mistakes, but it is what you do after you’ve made the mistake what truly counts. It’s called a subconscious law, never do the same exact thing twice. You have to change something in order to get better results. You wouldn’t keep placing a square peg in a round hole if it didn’t fit the first time, so why do we continue to do that with life. Ask God to guide your steps so you don’t have to stay on repeat, just like a song it gets old after awhile….

Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand-Psalms 37:24

The Devil is on my back…

shake the devil offMorning Inspiration….we all go through our trials and tribulations but when we feel it the most is when we know the devil is on our backs….do you change your paths when you feel this way or do you continue to ride it out???

If we know the things that are leading you down the wrong path…why do you not change your paths? If you know the devil is riding you to do the things you wish not to do, why do you continue to do them? Is it for some kind of gain? What would happen when every time you gain something for the devil you would lose something for the Lord? Thank God he forgives us for all of our sins and he blesses us with his mercy and grace, because if he didn’t this world would be a mess…it would be so much vengeance in this world…we have to stop giving into sin so easily. I know it is easier said than done, but what you’ve committed to you should stick too…finish what you started!!! Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give into temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!!

-Matthews 26:41

Do you really Love yourself

Morning Inspiration….http://youtu.be/xXkO0cgOC6Y

Today, I was feeling some kind of way, just thinking about my life and the motions I am going through. It never fails that one week before my menstrual period I am so emotionally drained and so unsure  of what is going on in my life. So, I thought about my happiness for a change something I don’t do often because I am a mother of three and I have a companion that does an excellent job of making sure we all have what we need on a daily basis, but it got me to thinking is that enough, does that make me happy? What does it take for me, Shawond Givens to really be happy and am I willing to give up those things that I think mean the most to me to reassure myself of something I am not so quite sure of anymore. lovethyself1 I just look back on my life within that last five years and I say to myself you

were a working women making pretty good money, confident in who you were, able to do just about anything you wanted, married, owned a house and now to this not working, struggling mentally and emotionally, not for sure who I am anymore, not married and not able to do hardly anything…and all I can think about is how did I get myself here and will I ever get back on the mountain top and be the Shawond Givens that I was five years ago bigger and better and then one of my good friends send me a youtube video to watch and it was a video that confirmed everything I was doubting…The Lord!!! When your life my life is down so far where you can’t see the light…It will take a lot but you have to stay in faith, I have to stay in faith that if GOD gave it to you or I before he will give it to you and I again bigger and better. So, as of today I am going to just pray my way through all of the darkness until I see some light and learn to love myself the way GOD loves me because he has not given up on me so why should I give up on myself.
