Merry Christmas

As I reflect on my day I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas…Every Christmas I am blessed to have a family that takes time out of their busy schedules that get together to exchange gifts and eat breakfast with one another. This year the hostess with the mostess was my very own Bigmama. Today we read Luke 2:1-21

Jesus-Christ-Birth-163-640x480The Birth of Jesus Christ

In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to their own town to register.

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

21 On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise the child, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he was conceived.

And then we were reminded of all the gifts that Jesus Christ gave to us Peace, Joy, Love and Hope.

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

Do you have a Servant Attitude

servants-heartMorning Inspiration….always having a servant’s heart

Are you living to get or living to give? God wants us to have a servant attitude. Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work (John 4:34) Are you always looking for ways to live a servant life…helping a friend, doing community service, taking care of a relative. It’s not something you force yourself to do, it becomes apart of who you are. You were created to make someone elses’ life be better…someone needs your love, smile, encouragement, and gifts, when you serve others you will feel a satisfaction that money can not buy…you will feel joy, peace and fulfillment that only Jesus can provide…when you do the will of your father it doesn’t exhaust you it replenishes you.

Simon Says

listeningMorning Inspiration…Listening is such a key factor in every relationship but how many of us really listen and how many of us think we are actually talking and listening at the same time? In order for God’s plan to take its path you have to be still and listen.

In the words of iamrennyren…How many of us remember playing the game Simon says? The game was very simple to play. You stopped in one spot and did not move until you heard Simon says and if you moved before then you paid a price. Our lives are set up the same way. We should not move on things that we’ve asked God to reveal to us until we’ve heard what God has said, then you’ll know what to do and keep going until you hear God says stop. We can learn a lot from our childhood games. Just think back  to them all and you’ll see it was all about listening and following instructions, something we all need to get back to.

Listen to his instructions, and store them  in your heart…JOB 22:22

Don’t Talk about it Be about it!!!!

dont talk about it be about itMorning Inspiration…..Today is that day I stop believing in what people are telling me until they can back it up with their actions. When you meet someone with the gift of gab watch out because those are the people who do a lot of talking and don’t have anything to show for it. If someone tells you one thing and do other trust me they will do it over and over and over again. My grandmother has always told me your word is all you have if you can’t stand by it then you can’t be trusted.

In the words of Iamrennyren….There is a lot of people talking about this and that but what are their actions telling you? When you see them out or scrolling through their timeline on social media what are you seeing them doing? We can all put on an act inside the church, but it’s what you do the other 6 days a week that also counts. We have to stop playing with GOD and live for GOD. When you know better your supposed to do better!

Those things which ye have both learned and received, and heard, and seen in me, do and the GOd of peace shall be with you….Philippians 4:9

AdversityMorning Inspiration…..What adversities are holding you back? Are you equipped to handle your adversities or are they handling you?

In the words of iamrennyren….When you are faced with adversities everything seems hard. It’s  so easy for someone to tell you what to do, how to do it, and when to do it. You sometimes even know what you should be doing yourself. Sometimes it’s not even a challenge its your mental break down. We all have been to that point. The point where you start doubting your faith, family, and friends. You have to come out of it on top. Stop asking yourself why and what if, but telling GOD what you need and where you wanna go. Sometimes faith is all you have and really all you need. I know eaiser said than done, but HIS WILL, WILL BE DONE!!!

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is GOD’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus…..1Thessalonians 5:16-18

Perfect is what you make it

Morning Inspiration….Love is in the air, are you with your soulmate or is there even a such thing as a soulmate or is a soulmate just a feeling a man or a woman gives you that makes you feel you are on cloud that you can never come down from?

hes not perfectA person with whom you have an immediate connection the moment you meet — a connection so strong that you are drawn to them in a way you have never experienced before. As this connection develops over time, you experience a love so deep, strong and complex, that you begin to doubt that you have ever truly loved anyone prior. Your soulmate understands and connects with you in every way and on every level, which brings a sense of peace, calmness and happiness when you are around them. And when you are not around them, you are all that much more aware of the harshness of life, and how bonding with another person in this way is the most significant and satisfying thing you will experience in your lifetime. You are also all that much aware of the beauty in life, because you have been given a great gift and will always be thankful.
